WHAT TO INCLUDE ON THE APP

Lucid dreaming is the ability to wake up in your dreams.

Lucidity stems from the realisation that you are dreaming which makes you become self aware.

This then gives you the full mental faculty to consider the dream in context.

You have the power to control your own movements in the dreams (just like waking life).

With a little experience you can accomplish all kinds of feats, like flying through space, creating new worlds, summoning characters, and having sex with anyone.

Dream control is just the beginning.

There are many more things to do in a lucid dream that will blow your mind, like allowing the dream itself to deliver subconscious messages to you.

Lucid dreaming techniques train you mind to:
- increase your dream intensity and dream recall
- Learning how to recognise when you're in the dream state
- Becoming more self-aware in your daily life through meditation
- Advancing your visualisation skills to enter dreams consciously
- Habitually programming your dream content with reality checks

Having frequent lucid dreams becomes a way of life. If you incorporate these techniques in your daily habits you will be more successful, after all your dreams reflect your thoughts, experiences and emotions from waking reality. That is why just thinking about having a lucid dream can produce lucid dreams the same night.

Beginners guide to lucid dreaming:
- Spend an hour learning about lucid dreaming (a section on the app)
- Do a reality check (app will choose random times of the day)
- Imagine what you will do in you first lucid dream (flying)
- Incubate a lucid dream as you fall asleep at night (thinking about the poster of the flying person
- Repeat the last step every time you wake up (set an alarm to wake up in the middle of the night)

For the apps, I think these will be 3 different stages, which can then be bought as add ons once you feel you are ready to have even more vivid lucid dreams.

- The digital/electronic posters will have 'a flying person' on them - this will be planting 'imaging what you will do in your first lucid dream' into the persons head.

- At random times in the day the app will pop up and ask you to do a reality check of some kind

Night time meditation:
After waking up in the middle of the night or in the morning, lie perfectly still and relax and allow your mind to drift. Holding on to a tiny bit of consciousness while allowing the body to fall asleep. Not only is this deeply relaxing it created out of body sensations, memory impressions, dream scenes. This is a great method for increasing your self awareness, visualisation skills and walking your mind directly into a lucid dream.

Dream Journals:
Keep a dream journal. Spend 10 minutes writing down your dreams each morning and you find that you dream recall and intensity will increate and you will have many more moments of spontaneous lucidity in the dream world.

Incubation:

To incubate a lucid dream some people only have to do is think 'I will have a lucid dream tonight' or repeat thoughts such as 'the next scene will be a dream'. You may also daydream about what you might do by visualising a powerful wish in detail, your subconscious mind may play back this same scenario in your dream tonight.

Brand name: Lucid Dreams

Brand purpose: An app which teaches you how to lucid dream (the ultimate thrill)

Campaign: To get people to download the app and give them a head start for the ultimate thrill of lucid dreaming

What marketing strategies will I use: Electronic Posters, Normal Posters, Ads on the web (as these are public spaces and the aim is to get the public involved, so having specific areas wouldn't work). Also these are visual things which people can just glance at at the corner of their eye, which will catch their attention.
