ALTERNATIVES TO SPENDING MONEY SHOPPING
If we had messages around us that told us ways to spend our time NOT spending money and shopping, rather than messages around us telling us to BUY more and SPEND more money - we would appreciate those little thrills in life that don't involve money.
The idea: To create numerous marketing material such as posters/billboards which can be put around public spaces that advertise doing something other than shopping and spending money..
I want the graphics to look inviting and entice the audience just like a shop advertisement would. I'd love to have random shops around the country which would be 'free walk in shops' where you could do these free stuff. For example if you were on your lunch break at work, you could pop into town and instead of going shopping nip in a store where you can sleep for an hour!
I think I am going to start playing around with the idea of 'napping' so instead of shopping going to take a nap instead.
I need to come up with a 'campaign' name which emphasises giving up shopping/spending money for something better and a thrill.
